What was the money or product used for?

We put this money into our Medical Fund and Cookie’s Legacy (our spay/neuter fund for Community Cats).

How did this grant help your organization and the pets in your care?

It gave our shelter the capability to help animals that come to us with medical conditions that cost extra to treat, such as heartworms, cancer, and other diseases. A lot of the money has gone to Cookie’s Legacy which is our TNR Program.
We have attached Cookie’s Story and how Cookie’s Legacy was started.

How many pets did this grant help?

Countless, but it has helped at least 25 animals over the last three months and will continue to help a minimum of 200 more Community Cats in need of our assistance over the coming year.

Please provide a story of one or more specific pets this grant helped. Include Petfinder URL if the pet is still adoptable.

Halo: Halo came to us with a tumor on her chest that had to be removed. The tumor tested cancerous, but we are pleased to report that she has made a full recovery.
Leila: A dog that came to us from the community testing Heartworm Positive. But now we have the funds to treat her and many more.
Rusty is a Senior dog with severe arthritis that we pulled from another shelter when he was scheduled to be euthanized. We are able to treat him with the meds he needs to live a more comfortable life, and now he has an adoption application pending.
Lumina and Silverado were both trapped at a local garage. They have been spayed and neutered, vaccinated, and returned to the business where their colony resides.
