Adoption Policies
We have had serious issues over the past couple of years with Military adoptions. Nearly every pet we have adopted to Military here in the Fort Knox area has been RETURNED to us once it is time for them to move to a new duty station!! This goes hard against our goals to provide these pets with Forever Homes, not to mention the anger, frustration and disappointment we feel when these animals come back. The animals are also sad about being abandoned, believe it or not, so we are more dedicated than ever in placing them in a permanent home.
Were these same people to drop off their children after each duty station, there would be a social outcry like you wouldn’t believe. In light of this we are enforcing our Adoption Screening policies, for we are NOT a Rent A Pet agency.
