Please help us find Dot. Missing since 1/12/12 older female dog, medium size with built of a greyhound. She is mostly white with a few large spots and speckled grey flecks like an Australian Blue Heeler. She was let out on Thursday morning before 7 AM and didn't return like normal. She was often walked around Gloryland Harvest Church and down Carol Lane or Deepwood Drive in Radcliff, KY. Our sweet and quiet (rarely barks) dog is dearly missed by our three children. She is wearing a pink collar with white polka dots and loves any Bacon flavored treats. Please call (270)352-5561 with any info. Thank you and God bless.

Female German Shepherd Mix. Trixie is 9 yrs old, withrown body and head with creme colored belly and some black on her back. Medium size, spayed, about 50 lbs wearing red color. Ran off while staying at relative's while her family was out of town 12/31/11. Very skiddish around males- took off when unknown male relative came to let her out for potty break. House she was at is located on Boone Rd. Off Wilson Rd behind John Hardin High School. Family lives in the Deckard School Rd, Hwy 220 area, may have tried to make her way home. Very good around kids, dogs and cats. My 2 children miss her terribly as well as the cats, they don't know what to do without her. Have picture(s) as well. Trixie is a spoiled rotten inside dog and not at all used to cold weather!!

Yes, absolutely!!! When you get your sponsor packet, you get a description of your sponsor pet, and visiting is always encouraged! That way both sponsor and pet know the love they're giving and getting is real, and not an impersonal photo exchange program.

Hi, I love animals. If I could I would adopt a cat and maybe another dog. But currently I live with a German Shepard already, in a town house. I would like to sponsor an animal and want to know if we could visit the animal we sponsor.

They may very well have a home, but be considered "outdoor" pets, so in that light, their owners probably don't think they need to be fixed, or reined into their own backyards. Not without chaining them to a tree. Sound ignorant? It is.
We need better community promotion of spay and neuter programs, and outreach. Are people finding veterinary costs prohibitive and far out of their budget? Are there irresponsible breeders? Are we simply seeing the results of ignorance and poverty, as people say, "We live out in the country, so I don't need to get Kitty spayed--whoops, here are 8 more kittens. Where did THEY come from?"
We've preached on this topic for more than 20 years now, but the problem remains. We could use more volunteers to trap and spay/neuter/release these critters. We have the Snip Clinic in Louisville and Buried Treasures in Elizabethtown to help cover costs. The Buried Treasures Store runs on donations and they are the most active promoters of income-based spay and neuter programs in Hardin County. I'll look at promoting them on our website, but if you use these programs, pay it forward! Your donations help ensure more pets get spayed and neutered, and fewer unwanted puppies and kittens are brought into the world, to walk our streets hungry and alone.

Hi! I live in Vine Grove and I have noticed in the past year a growing number of cats all over the place, I do not know if they have a home, but I doubt it. Also, I see lots of dogs getting loose and running around all over the neighborhood. Do you have any idea how we can get a better grip on animal control in our community? As a pet lover I feel bad seeing these animals all over the place.

I have two broken hearted boys at home who are missing their best friends as of 11/04/2011. Sadie is a beautiful, friendly, rambunctious golden retriever. She is approximately 5 years old. Sara, Sadie's her best friend & sidekick, is a small German Shepard, nearly 3 years old, and a bit on the skittish side. She is very friendly and will not go anywhere without Sadie. Please contact us if you have seen these two at 270-319-0583, 850-855-9895 or 502-643-4944. We are very anxious to have them home.
