On Thursday, January 16, 2024, a good Samaritan called ARC to report they found this sweet little girl, affectionately named Chilly, frozen to the ground. Although understaffed, an ARC employee dropped everything to respond to this emergency. Upon arrival Chilly was extremely cold and limp, certainly suffering from hypothermia and very malnourished. We immediately jumped into action, warming her up and giving her the vital care she needed to save her little life. Today she is warm and cozy and has a full belly, but she still has a way to go for full recovery.
As of Saturday, January 18th, she is in a wonderful foster home, where she will get the attention and care she needs to not only recover physically, but to learn to trust people and know there is goodness in the world! Stay tuned to Chilly’s progress and if you would like to donate to her care, and the care of the hundreds of other residents, please find the DONATE, AMAZON WISHLIST or SPONSOR buttons right here on our website! If you are interested in opening your home as a foster family for a pet in need, you can learn more by clicking on the FOSTER tab above! Please help us to continue to save animals in need especially during this time of year when the weather is so cold. We can not do any of this without continuous support of the generous people in the community.
Look at this sweet face! Chilly is warm and snuggled in at her foster home!
