Help Crack Down on CockfightingKentucky has one of the weakest laws on cockfighting in the country. A recent HSUS investigation showed uniformed state police at a cockfighting pit in Laurel County, KY. Our shocking footage shows why Kentucky needs an upgraded cockfighting law and a clear directive to law enforcement to arrest animal fighters.
Please call your state representative Charlie Hoffman (502) 564-8100 and urge support for H.B. 169. You can say: “My name is [your name] and I’m calling from [your town]. As a constituent, I’m calling to ask you to support H.B. 169, legislation to make cockfighting a felony.” After you call, send a follow-up message. Thanks for all you do for animals.
